For those who don't know, I am moving out of the country. It's a long story that I hope to post about soon. But bottom line - I have felt lead to go to the mission field for about 2 years now and God has worked in my heart to make a way to fulfill that passion. I tried to make it happen on my own and every door was closed to me. Once I decided to let God lead, He pointed me towards a couple I'd never met, the James', currently serving in South Africa. In October of 2015 I went with my friend Cindy, who knew the James' when they worked together in Virginia, to visit SA and found I had left a piece of my heart there on that trip. I fell in love with the people of the townships just outside of Plett and I gained a passion for wanting to help the children there. After fasting and praying, and not wanting to overstep God's plan for me again, I came to the conclusion that He was indeed leading me to join the James family, along with Cindy (Thank You God for that precious gift on my first venture into long-term missions work) and the other missionaries currently serving, to help build and work at the MerryField Children's Village in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Now with one of the biggest decisions of my life already made, I'm working through preparing and planning for this major life change, currently scheduled for April of 2016.
